Eric Ryan

Eric is a founding member and current Secretary of Cork Whiskey Society. He holds a Master’s Degree in Brewing & Distilling and received the 2013 University Prize for outstanding merit in independent learning. Eric is a current member of the Institute of Brewing & Distilling & was a previous winner of the IBD Scotch Whisky Association Award. He is also the founder of Cork Whiskey Walk and is a keen collector of vintage Irish whiskey and memorabilia.

Independent whiskey writer living in Dublin. His A Glass Apart: Irish Single Pot Still whiskey was published in 2015 and hailed as the definitive guide to the drink. As a student of Medieval history and literature, he taught classes on The History & Appreciation of Whisky at U.C. Berkeley and ran seminars on whiskey appreciation through the San Francisco cocktail bar Bourbon & Branch. He now works as a consultant & lecturer for distilleries, independent bar staff educator & he has represented Irish whiskey before the European Union.

He holds a Diploma in Wine & Spirits and Professional Certificate in Spirits from the WSET. Joe also judges for a variety of international wine & spirits competitions including the International Wine & Spirits Competition, Irish Whiskey Awards & World Spirits Awards.

Peter White

Peter is a Dublin city fireman and holds a first class degree in business, a diploma in journalism & has attended the Midleton Academy & Dingle Whiskey School. He is a founder member & former President of the Irish Whiskey Society & started the Dingle Chapter of the IWS in 2016. He is also the ideas guy behind the Dick Macks whiskey project since its inception & is interested in everything whiskey, football, climbing, cycling & hill-walking.

Seáneen Sullivan

Seáneen Sullivan is the Culinary Director of L. Mulligan. Grocer, a pub and restaurant renowned for their food and whiskey pairings. She is a widely published food writer with articles in many publications, including the New York Times and The Irish Times. In this new series of articles for Irish Whiskey Magazine she visits other chefs using whiskey in their kitchens to explore how they are using the spirit on their menu.

Will Keating

Will Keating started out as a brewer for Guinness and over the course of 20 years worked on everything from local production to global marketing for both beers and spirits within Diageo. Currently he is a Lecturer in Brewing and Distilling Science at Technological University Dublin as well as an independent Sales & Marketing Consultant to the Drinks Industry, specialising in helping people to tell their stories better.
