A Perfect Blend – New four-part podcast series from Irish Distillers

 

Having has achieved great success with previous series, Irish Distillers have announced the launch of a new podcast, ‘A Perfect Blend’.  

The mini-series is produced and hosted by multi-award winning radio producerJulien Clancy, focuses on the power of collaboration, by bringing stories of craft and shared passions from the world of Irish whiskey. The podcast features commentary from some of the industry’s most influential voices who reflect on shared aspirations, lessons learned and hopes for the future. 

The four episodes bring together member of the Irish Distillers team face to face with some of the world’s leading experts in their field. The four episodes comprise of:

Episode 1 – The Cooper’s Eye

Killian O’Mahoney, Cooper at Irish distillers and Paul McLaughlin of Kelvin Cooperage in Kentucky, reunite for the first time since Paul served a years apprenticeship in Kelvin and talk about their love of the craft of coopering.

 

Episode 2 – Distilled Wisdom

Katherine Condon, a qualified Chemical Engineer and now Distiller at Irish Distillers meets for the very first time Richard Forsyth, chairperson at the largest copperworks in the world, Forsyths.

 

Episode 3 – Sustained Excellence

Finbarr Curran, wood planning team lead and the man responsible for sourcing Irish Distillers’ barrels, and forestry consultant and Pro Silva Ireland co-founder Paddy Purser discuss sustainability.

 

Episode 4 – The Art of Storytelling

Irish Distillers archivist Carol Quinn meets husband and wife team, Matthew Bolger and Emelie Lindstrom, and discuss how they got to where they are in their respective fields and how history inspired their designs of the Method and Madness range.
