Series of events taking place this weekend to celebrate World Whiskey Day 2021

 

The Irish whiskey industry in association with Drinks Ireland|Irish Whiskey chose some great ways to celebrate World Whiskey Day 2021. They are encouraging whiskey lovers to craft their own Irish whiskey cocktail by sharing easy-to-make recipes for 10 of the classiest Irish whiskey cocktails:

 

  • Short video promoting Irish whiskey cocktails.
  • 10 Irish whiskey cocktail recipes or as a downloadable booklet.

 

A range of brands including Bushmills, The Sexton and Powerscourt Distillery are joining the cocktail crusade and are promoting their own versions of Irish whiskey cocktails to mark World Whiskey Day.

Drinks Ireland|Irish Whiskey this week hosted a series of events in Canada to promote Irish Whiskey brands from across the island of Ireland in partnership with the Irish Ambassador H.E. Eamonn McKee and the British High Commissioner H.E. Susan Jane le Jeune d’Allegeershecque.

Ireland’s Embassy Network will host an online event to promote the Depth & Diversity of Irish Whiskey across Latin America, in support of the #DiscoverIrishWhiskey campaign. The webinar will be delivered in English, Spanish and Portuguese will be addressed by the Irish Ambassador to Mexico H.E. Maeve Von Heynitz and by the Chairman of Drinks Ireland|Irish Whiskey John Quinn.

Tourism Ireland has been promoting the message “It’s got to be Irish whiskey for World Whiskey Day” in global media activity this week.

Jameson Irish Whiskey is debunking some whiskey myths with their #HoweverYouJameson social campaign in the lead up to World Whiskey Day this year. On the day itself, they will take fans behind the scenes to meet Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman to find out his advice for first-time whiskey drinkers. You can join in by picking up a Jameson Family mini pack and participating in a complimentary virtual whiskey tasting here.

Teeling Whiskey Company will host a Facebook Live event at 5pm on Saturday to toast World Whiskey Day. Jack and Stephen Teeling will broadcast live from the Teeling Distillery in Dublin and toast a glass of one of their favourites, the Teeling Renaissance Series 3.

Walsh Whiskey has launched a new Discover Your Whiskey tool on their website, where whiskey lovers can input their flavour preference and watch it calculate a top-three choice of expressions that best suit their palate.

Lough Ree Distillery is launching their latest limited edition whiskey released to mark World Whisky Day.  ‘The Bridge –St Mel’s No 1 Single Malt Irish Whiskey is the result of a collaboration with St. Mel’s Independent Brewing Company in Longford.  This is a limited edition bottling of only 344 bottles, for sale via Lough Ree Distillery website www.lrd.ie with a retail price of €60.

Pearse Lyons Distillery is celebrating World Whiskey Day by offering free nationwide delivery to their Irish customers. Visit their online store to choose from their award-winning range of Whiskeys, and use the code WorldWhiskeyDay for free delivery. The offer runs until Sunday, May 16th.

Dingle Distillery yesterday launched their new Single Malt Whiskey just in time for World Whiskey Day. The new Single Malt is matured in PX Sherry (61%) and Bourbon (39%) first fill casks and comprising predominantly six to seven-year-old spirit.
