Award winning Cocktail bar launches Distilled Experience

BAR 1661 have announced a new addition to their innovative cocktail tasting menu format. The Distilled Experience is a curated early evening experience showcasing the best of BAR 1661 distilled into an into an hour and a half, designed to be part of a really special night out – whether it’s a catch up with friends, a date night, or a novel gift idea.

Perfect for a pre-dinner event, after an occasion lunch, or for those who want to get home a little earlier, across a 90-minute session, guests are invited to enjoy a curated 14-drink cocktail tasting menu of mini serves, guided by BAR 1661’s passionate team. Limited to just 10 seats and priced at €90 per person, the tasting starts with the bar’s signature Belfast Coffee and ends with their iconic Irish Coffee.

Bringing together lovers of great drinks, the cocktail curious, and those looking for something truly memorable in Dublin’s exciting food and drink scene, the Distilled Experience builds on the success of the venue’s groundbreaking Immersive Experience, launched in 2025. The most in depth cocktail tasting menu in the world, it is the ultimate journey through BAR 1661’s world renowned 28 drink cocktail menu, led by their award-winning team over three hours for a completely unique night out.

BAR 1661 Experiences are held around a shared island in BAR 1661’s adjacent cocktail factory, an intimate journey of flavour, story, and craft pulling back the curtain on the process, innovation and inspiration behind BAR 1661’s modern Irish approach to cocktails. Tickets for the new Distilled Experiences, €90 per person, have now been released for Saturdays from 5pm-6.30pm starting on Saturday 28th March with dates available until the end of May. BAR 1661 Immersive Experiences will continue to take place Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm -10.30pm, priced at €165 per person. BAR 1661 Experiences give locals and visitors to Dublin alike the chance to experience the bar’s lauded We Call This Power cocktail menu, recognised by the Spirited Awards as one the Top 4 Cocktail Menus in the World in 2025 and to take a deep dive into why the global bar industry has turned its attention to this small corner of Dublin’s northside.

Since opening its doors in 2019, with a mission to showcase Ireland’s native spirit poitín, and to lift Irish cocktail culture to new heights internationally, BAR 1661 has consistently brought a staunchly Irish and fiercely independent approach to everything it does. Along with its sister venue The Sackville Lounge off O’Connell Street which celebrates its first birthday on 2nd April, BAR 1661 is well known for its bar takeovers at home and abroad.
