I hope you are keeping well at this time. I just wanted to send you a quick email to update you on the 2020 Irish Whiskey Awards. Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Irish Whiskey Awards. Given the current situation, we couldn’t be sure of what the restrictions would be come October and knew that it would be very difficult to safely implement social distancing over the Summer months for the blind tastings.
We hope to announce the 2021 date in the next couple of months and we can confirm that next year’s event will take place at the Powerscourt Distillery in Wicklow. With regards to Whiskey Live, we’re still hoping to go ahead with this event but will of course let you know if anything changes. I’m guessing we’ll know more in the next month or two. Thanks for all your support and we do apologise for any inconvenience caused.
