Knappogue Castle has launched the highly anticipated 21-year-old expression of their single malt Irish whiskey. With only 1,400 bottles, the Knappogue Castle 21 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey is a very limited special release.
This 21-Year-Old Single Malt is a marriage of two single malts distilled in copper pot stills and then matured in ex-bourbon casks – one for 23 years (put into barrel in 1994) and another for 21 years (put into barrel in 1996) before blending them together. This expression is bottled at 46% ABV and is non-chill filtered.
“After much anticipation, we’re very proud to be offering this Knappogue Castle 21 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey,” says Mark Andrews, Founder and Chairman of Castle Brands Inc. “We feel it’s a great addition to the Knappogue Castle portfolio and are excited to share it with its growing group of fans.”
