Gortinore Distillers & Co., a company founded by Aidan Mehigan (CEO) and Lisa Mehigan (CMO), officially launched Natterjack Irish Whiskey on 21st February in Dublin. Aidan, a successful trader in the City of London, has moved back to Ireland with plans to set up a whiskey distillery at The Old Mill, Kilmacthomas in Waterford, Ireland.
Aidan said,
“Natterjack Irish Whiskey is a unique blend, triple distilled in true Irish spirit and carefully crafted using Irish and American techniques. Our whiskey started out life aging in ex-bourbon barrels (traditional Irish) and finished in virgin American oak (traditional American), using just the right amount of char before bottling it to capture a unique Irish whiskey, wonderful to enjoy neat, and makes a refreshing ‘fizzy toad’.”
Natterjack Irish Whiskey has been bottled at 40% ABV and is for a sale at a RRP €48. We’ll be reviewing this in our next issue.
