Award winning Sligo bar releases Dunville’s 1808 single cask bottling
Thomas Connolly’s has partnered with Dunville’s Irish Whiskey for their latest exclusive single cask release.
As part of the acclaimed 1808 Casked In Bond series, this becomes the 21st release in a collection celebrating some of the finest whiskey bars on the island of Ireland.
The award-winning Dunville’s 1808 blend of single malt, single grain and single pot still whiskeys was initially matured in first-fill ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks before being married and re-casked for a further 15 months in French oak cask #4750. This exceptional barrel first held white wine before maturing rich Marsala wine, creating remarkable depth and complexity.
Expect Dunville’s signature orchard fruits beautifully balanced with warming spice, followed by a rich, mouth-coating Marsala finish revealing layers of demerara sugar, toasted hazelnuts, stewed fruits and baked apple.
Bottled at 46% ABV, this limited edition single cask yielded just 396 bottles.
