Limited Edition 16-year-old single malt Irish whiskey
This is not the first time Teeling Whiskey have release a whiskey matured in Amburana wood casks. Their highly acclaimed ‘Wonder of Wood’ series was launched with a 14-year-old single malt matured in Braziliam Amburana wood casks. That very distinctive, rich flavoured whiskey now has a sequel.
Today, Teeling Whiskey have announced the release of a 16-year-old single malt Irish whiskey which uses some of the oldest stock they have available. The spirit was initially matured in ex-borbon casks before being matured in casks made from rare Amburana wooden casks. Amburana wood is a South American hardwood which imparts lots of flavour which compliments the whiskey flavour.
Only 244 bottles have been released and is available exclusively in the Teeling Distillery Dublin or online here.
Beautifully boxed and presented as part of their ‘Vintage Reserve Collection’. Bottled at 57.2% ABV, non-chill filtered, this exclusive single malt is retailing at €180.

Nose
Cinnamon, Coconut, Almond, Marzipan, Hot Apple, Liquorice.
Taste
Baked Apple, Vanilla, Black Cardamom, Walnut, Carrot Cake.
Finish
Long and spicy finish.
