Teeling unveils Limited-Edition Santa Teresa Cask Finish Small Batch Irish Whiskey

Teeling Whiskey and Santa Teresa rum join forces in the latest Teeling Small Batch Collaborations Series

Teeling has announced the launch of Teeling Small Batch Whiskey Santa Teresa 1796 Cask Finish, a limited-edition release that brings together the best of Irish whiskey and Venezuelan rum craftsmanship. The new expression reflects the brand’s commitment to developing unconventional and distinctive whiskies through partnerships with like-minded pioneers in the world of spirits.

For this latest collaboration, the Teeling Whiskey Distillery has partnered with Santa Teresa 1796, the renowned Venezuelan rum producer with more than 200 years of rum-making heritage. Known for their dedication to quality and innovation, Santa Teresa has perfected the art of aging and blending, creating some of the finest rums in the world.

Using hand-selected Solera rum casks, Teeling has swapped the Caribbean rum casks usually used in the maturation of its Small Batch whiskey for SANTA TERESA Venezuelan rum casks. The result is a whiskey with exceptional depth and character; an exciting expression of the TEELING whiskey flagship. Aromas of caramel, honey and dark chocolate are complemented by the orchard fruit and malt character signature, while the palate reveals waves of vanilla, dried apricot, figs and warming spice. The influence of the Venezuelan rum casks adds richness throughout, culminating in a long, elegant finish of dried fruits, cinnamon, cream barley and subtle oak. The result is a whiskey of exceptional balance and complexity, showcasing distinctive notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit and spice.

To mark the launch, the Teeling Whiskey Distillery is partnering with GOAL to support communities affected by the recent earthquakes in Venezuela. A commemorative bottle set, priced at €100, will offer a unique package of experiences and gifts while helping to support an important cause. Net proceeds of the first 100 sets sold will be donated to GOAL’s relief and recovery efforts for local communities. Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered to preserve its natural character, TEELING Small Batch Whiskey Santa Teresa Cask Finish delivers a rich and layered flavour experience. This limited-edition bottling is now available in select European Markets before being released in the US early next year.
